The Average Price of a Home
When compared to June of 2023 the average housing price in the Cape Fear Region decreased by 7%. This is the biggest single year-to-year drop that has ever been recorded since the market exploded in 2020
Number of New Homes Debuting on the Market
The Cape Fear region saw a decrease in new homes coming on the market. In June of 2023 a total of 931 homes were listed. Last month that number dropped to 715. That is a decrease of 23%.
Average Number of Days on the Market
Sellers are waiting on average 1 more days longer than they were last year. In June 2023 homes were lasting only 47 days. Last month the average home sat for 48 days before finding a new owner.
Average Amount of Asking Price
Buyers are gaining leverage. Last month, on average, buyers were able to talk down sellers of their asking price by .6%
