Jackey’s Creek is a neighborhood of single family homes located off Highway 133 in Belville. The community is in close proximity to theBrunswick Riverwalk Park, and the shopping and dining options in downtown Leland and off Highway 17, near the neighborhoods of Waterford and Magnolia Greens. It is a 10 minute drive to downtown Wilmington and roughly 30 minutes to either the beaches of New Hanover or Brunswick Counties.
The neighborhood is made up of approximately 100 homes. The first properties were built in the early 1990’s with the most recent homes erected in 2017. There is a wide variety of styles and floor plans. Many of the homes are custom built. The average property measure 2,200 square feet and offers three bedrooms with two and a half baths.
Attention anglers: the neighborhood gets its name because Jackey’s Creek runs just to the south of the development. According to a local fishing website the creek’s most popular species are longnose gar and Altantic stingray. Consequently, because of its proximity to the water, there are a number of homes located in the flood zone. Future owners who want to avoid paying the extra insurance need to focus on homes that are on the north or western end of the subdivision.
There is a small annual HOA fee of $264, that covers the up keep of community green spaces.
